On September 26th, Shahnawaz Hussain, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was admitted to a Mumbai hospital and underwent an angioplasty procedure. His current medical condition is described as stable.
Hussain was swiftly brought to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday due to elevated blood pressure and discomfort. An angioplasty, a medical intervention to unblock or widen narrowed blood vessels in the heart, was performed following the detection of a blockage in one of his veins. Presently, he is under intensive care in the hospital\’s ICU.
As per a physician at Lilavati Hospital, \”Shahnawaz Hussain was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where we identified a blockage in one of his veins and subsequently conducted an angioplasty.\”
Hussain\’s health has since shown improvement, and he is expected to be relocated to a private ward in the coming days.
Significantly, Hussain exhibited uneasiness during a visit to the Bandra apartment of Mumbai BJP chairman and MLA Ashish Shelar, who subsequently transported him to the hospital. Dr. Parkar, the attending physician, mentioned that Hussain reported high blood pressure at approximately 4:30 pm, and cardiologist Suresh Vijan performed the angioplasty. Fortunately, there was no damage to his heart muscle.
Shahnawaz Hussain holds a prominent position within the BJP in Bihar, having previously served as Bihar Industries Minister during the NDA government\’s tenure in the state. During the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, he held several ministerial roles, including Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Minister of Coal, Minister of Civil Aviation, and Minister of Textiles.
